Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin announced on her website Wednesday that she’s seeking feedback from Idahoans for her task force examining indoctrination and teaching social justice topics in Idaho public schools.

Rep. Priscilla Giddings, R-White Bird, will serve as co-chairwoman of the task force, and the rest of the members of the task force will be announced in the next two weeks, McGeachin said in a press release. She said the group’s membership will be comprehensive and will serve as a “broad representation of the community.”

“One of our primary goals with this task force is to give concerned citizens a voice regarding education in Idaho,” McGeachin said.

The form allows respondents to enter their name and email address or submit comments anonymously.

“We want to make sure all Idahoans — especially those employed in education — can provide us with unbiased feedback without fear of blowback or retaliation,” McGeachin said in the release.

The task force will hold four public meetings in May, June, July and August in the Lincoln Auditorium at the Idaho Statehouse in Boise. They’ll be open to the public. Residents can attend in person or watch a video livestream of the proceedings, according to the release.

To provide feedback to the lieutenant governor, Idahoans can fill out the Google survey form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScxEy2t5UBBBCTI9hFaS7AZafqnN7GzyHo5FIsYPylq6IBYmg/viewform.
