A free one-day boating safety course for waterfowl hunters is scheduled for Saturday and later this month in Nampa, according to a press release from the Canyon County Sheriff’s office.

The one-day courses are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 4 and Nov. 18, at the Canyon County Marine Patrol office in Lowell Park. The courses will cover basic boating safety and Idaho boating laws. Courses will also include a cold water emergency section and a question and answer period, according to the release.
